| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, A loving family and a host of dear friends will |

| 10 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Haruka Juliana Tsunemine Weiser was born on June 20, |

| 11 | 12 | | 1997, to Thomas Weiser and Yasuyo Tsunemine and grew up with the |

| 12 | 13 | | companionship of her younger brother, Noboru, and sister, Naomi; |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | she graduated in 2015 from the Arts & Communication Magnet Academy |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | in Beaverton, Oregon, where she formed many lasting friendships; |

| 15 | 16 | | while there, she demonstrated a unique gift for dance and pursued |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | her passion as a performer with the Portland Ballet and the |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | Beaverton Dance West Troupe; and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Weiser's showing at the National High School |

| 19 | 20 | | Dance Festival caught the eye of faculty from The University of |

| 20 | 21 | | Texas at Austin, and she went on to enroll at UT on a full |

| 21 | 22 | | scholarship; she endeared herself to the university's arts and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | dance community, and although her talent as a dancer was apparent to |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | all who knew her, she always remained humble and down to earth; in |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | addition to dance, she dedicated herself diligently to her other |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | classes and excelled in math and science, and she had plans to |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | declare a second major in premedical studies; and |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | WHEREAS, Haruka Weiser possessed a genuine enthusiasm for |
|---|
| 28 | 29 | | life that inspired everyone around her and took special joy in such |
|---|
| 29 | 30 | | simple acts as watching the sun rise and going on impromptu picnics; |

| 30 | 31 | | adventurous and spirited, she found additional outlets for her |
|---|
| 31 | 32 | | energy in sculpture and cooking, and she was known to treat even the |
|---|
| 32 | 33 | | smallest moments of happiness as opportunities to dance; and |

| 33 | 34 | | WHEREAS, While the death of Haruka Weiser is an incalculable |

| 34 | 35 | | loss to the many people who cherished her, the passage of time will |

| 35 | 36 | | never dim their memories of the love that she shared with them and |

| 36 | 37 | | the joy and purpose with which she followed her dreams; now, |
