H.R. No. 1421
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Prosper United Methodist Church has set an inspiring
example of community involvement by hosting the annual Kids Against
Hunger meal-packing event on March 23, 2017, at Cockrell Elementary
School; and
WHEREAS, Together with other local volunteers, members of
Prosper UMC packaged more than 26,000 meals for Kids Against
Hunger, a nonprofit organization that provides food for
malnourished children and their families; and
WHEREAS, Through its partnership with Kids Against Hunger,
Prosper United Methodist Church has made a meaningful difference in
the lives of countless individuals, and it is truly a pleasure to
honor its noteworthy contributions; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Prosper United Methodist Church for its
dedicated efforts in behalf of Kids Against Hunger and extend to its
members sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the church as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
