| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, For more than five decades, Pat Peale of Lake Kiowa |

| 6 | 7 | | has worked tirelessly to advance the goals of the Republican Party; |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, A longtime grassroots volunteer, Ms. Peale gained |

| 9 | 10 | | early experience as chair of a University of Miami rally in support |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | of the Eisenhower-Nixon ticket; she went on to serve several other |

| 11 | 12 | | Republican presidential, gubernatorial, and congressional |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | campaigns in volunteer and leadership positions; after making her |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | home in Texas, she soon proved an indispensable asset to the state |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | Republican Party, aiding in the campaigns of President George H. W. |

| 15 | 16 | | Bush and President George W. Bush and helping to elect Republican |

| 16 | 17 | | candidates for offices ranging from governor to railroad |

| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Peale served as a delegate to the Republican |

| 19 | 20 | | National Convention in 1996 and went on to hold a number of |

| 20 | 21 | | leadership roles with the State Republican Executive Committee; in |

| 21 | 22 | | 2000, she was part of the National Selection Committee for the |

| 22 | 23 | | Republican Party of Texas; and |

| 23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Pat Peale's efforts in membership development, |

| 24 | 25 | | campaign activities, and community relations for the Cooke County |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | Republican Women resulted in her being named one of the Ten |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | Outstanding Women by the Texas Federation of Republican Women, an |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | organization in which she has been active as a district director as |
|---|
| 28 | 29 | | well; she has also served the Cooke County Republican Party as |
|---|
| 29 | 30 | | chair; and |
|---|
| 30 | 31 | | WHEREAS, Through her decades of political activism in behalf |

| 31 | 32 | | of the Republican Party, Pat Peale has contributed greatly to its |

| 32 | 33 | | growth and success in Cooke County and beyond, and she may indeed |

| 33 | 34 | | reflect with pride on her achievements; now, therefore, be it |

| 34 | 35 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |

| 35 | 36 | | Legislature hereby honor Pat Peale for her many years of service to |

| 36 | 37 | | the Republican Party and extend to her sincere best wishes for the |
