| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Ken Pool of Dougherty has invented Conflict, a new |

| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The object of the game is for players to correctly |

| 8 | 9 | | answer trivia questions from six categories covering such topics as |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | battles, weapons, officers, and units, as well as the Confederacy |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | and the Union; and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, A longtime Civil War buff, Mr. Pool first became |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | interested in the subject at an early age, when he and his family |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | visited a number of historic sites from the War Between the States |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | in commemoration of its centennial; in addition to studying the |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | struggle, he enjoys collecting artifacts from the era; and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Ken Pool has created an engaging way of learning |

| 17 | 18 | | more about one of the most consequential periods in our nation's |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | history, and he is indeed worthy of recognition for this |

| 19 | 20 | | outstanding achievement; now, therefore, be it |

| 20 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |

| 21 | 22 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Ken Pool on his invention of the |
