No. 1436 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever treasure their memories of Douglas Arnold Anderle of Gainesville, who died on January 31, 2016, at the age of 50; and WHEREAS, Doug Anderle was born in Wichita Falls on September 15, 1965, to Orville and Shirley Anderle; after graduating from high school in Lindsay in 1984, he studied agriculture at North Central Texas College before becoming the main ranch hand at Wolf Creek Ranch; in 1990, he was joined in matrimony to Brenda Haverkamp, with whom he went on to share more than 25 years, and he was the proud father of three children, Abby, Caleb, and Evan; and WHEREAS, Mr. Anderle worked in Australia as part of an exchange program before moving with his wife to Baggs, Wyoming; the couple then settled in Gainesville, where they started a ranch; in 1997, Mr. Anderle joined the Gainesville Fire Department, and over the course of his exemplary 19-year tenure with the department, he worked his way up to lieutenant; in April 2010, he was named "City Employee of the Month" for saving the city money by refitting couplings from old fire hoses onto new ones; and WHEREAS, Although the life of this loving family man and dedicated firefighter ended far too soon, Doug Anderle leaves behind a record of service that his loved ones can forever remember with pride; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Douglas Arnold Anderle and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his wife, Brenda Anderle; to his daughter, Abby Dieter, and her husband, Matt; to his sons, Caleb and Evan Anderle; to his mother, Shirley Anderle; to his brothers, Mark Anderle and his wife, Anitra, Jeff Anderle and his wife, Robyn, and Jay Anderle and his wife, Bridget; to his sister, Sherry Copeland, and her husband, Kevin; to his in-laws, Ray and Louise Haverkamp, Steve Haverkamp, Carla and Bob Smith, Sandy and Bob Ogden, and Sheila and Kim Baekgaard; and to his other relatives and many friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Douglas Anderle.
