H.R. No. 1439
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Dejinoble Williams of Shamrock High School achieved
great distinction by capturing the gold medal in the Class 2A boys'
300-meter hurdles at the 2016 University Interscholastic League
Track & Field State Meet; and
WHEREAS, Joining the top high school competitors in Texas at
Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 14, "DJ" Williams turned in a
notable performance, recording a time of 38.56 seconds to claim
first place in the event; and
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for
high school track and field athletes, DJ Williams has ably
represented his school, and he will cherish his memories of this
outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Dejinoble Williams on winning the
gold medal in the Class 2A boys' 300-meter hurdles at the 2016 UIL
Track & Field State Meet and extend to him sincere best wishes for
continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Williams as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
