| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Jacob Sprouse of Boy Scouts of America Troop No. 668 |

| 6 | 7 | | in Gainesville has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and this |

| 7 | 8 | | accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant |

| 9 | 10 | | honor, one bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the |

| 10 | 11 | | scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding |

| 11 | 12 | | criteria, Mr. Sprouse earned the requisite 21 merit badges and |

| 12 | 13 | | successfully completed an Eagle Scout project of benefit to his |

| 13 | 14 | | community; to that end, he led a group in building, painting, and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | installing a swing set in the playground area behind the Myra |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | Volunteer Fire Department; and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, The son of John and Teresa Sprouse, Jacob Sprouse |

| 17 | 18 | | has demonstrated outstanding leadership ability throughout his |

| 18 | 19 | | scouting career, winning the respect and admiration of his fellow |

| 19 | 20 | | troop members as he worked toward the highest rank that the |

| 20 | 21 | | organization offers; he served as a patrol leader and twice |

| 21 | 22 | | attended Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico; he looks forward to |

| 22 | 23 | | serving his country as a member of the U.S. Army; and |

| 23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Sprouse's dedication to excellence and |

| 24 | 25 | | his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy |
