| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of |

| 6 | 7 | | mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Truman and Janet Poole |

| 7 | 8 | | of Floydada celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on |

| 8 | 9 | | August 13, 2016; and |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Truman Poole and the former Janet Payne were joined |

| 10 | 11 | | in matrimony in 1966 at a ceremony held at the home of the groom's |

| 11 | 12 | | sister in Shallowater; through the years, they have been blessed |

| 12 | 13 | | with a treasured family that includes their children, Debbie Smith |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | and Tracey Poole, as well as two grandchildren, Ashley Smith and |

| 14 | 15 | | Amber Reed, and two great-grandchildren, Tii Nathan Summers and |

| 15 | 16 | | Layne Reed; and |

| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Valued residents of the Floydada community since |

| 17 | 18 | | 2012, the couple previously resided in Idalou for 46 years; |

| 18 | 19 | | Mr. Poole had a productive career with Payne's Brokerage before |

| 19 | 20 | | becoming a self-employed handyman in 1974; Mrs. Poole held jobs |

| 20 | 21 | | with the S&H Green Stamp Center and The Reproduction Company, from |

| 21 | 22 | | which she retired in 2006, and she subsequently returned to work for |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | another four years at the Coffee Haus in Idalou; and |

| 23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Poole have enjoyed five decades of |

| 24 | 25 | | abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |

| 26 | 27 | | commitment; now, therefore, be it |

| 27 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
