45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of
67 mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Paul and Susan Voss of
78 Fairlie celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on March
89 17, 2017; and
910 WHEREAS, Paul Voss and the former Susan Argo were joined in
1011 matrimony in 1967 at the First Baptist Church in Richardson; over
1112 the years, they have been blessed with a treasured family that
1213 includes their children, Philip Voss and his wife, Rebel, and Holly
1314 Gonzalez and her husband, Marc, as well as their four
1415 grandchildren, Hayden, Dominick, Benjamin, and Kaitlyn; and
1516 WHEREAS, Valued residents of the Fairlie community for nearly
1617 four decades, Mrs. Voss is retired from a 33-year career with the
1718 Texas A&M University--Commerce library, and Mr. Voss serves as the
1819 executive director of the Commerce Chamber of Commerce; and
1920 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Voss have enjoyed half a century of
2021 abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an
2122 exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting
2223 commitment; now, therefore, be it
2324 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
2425 Legislature hereby congratulate Paul and Susan Voss on their 50th
2526 wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
2627 continued happiness; and, be it further
2728 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2829 prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Voss as an expression of high regard by
2930 the Texas House of Representatives.
