45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Navin Pillai has ably served his fellow Texans as an
67 intern in the office of State Representative Dan Huberty during the
78 85th Legislative Session; and
89 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Pillai has provided
910 vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks,
1011 including working with constituents to ensure that their concerns
1112 are addressed; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the
1213 field of public service, he has learned more about the legislative
1314 process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
1415 WHEREAS, The son of Gene and Hema Pillai, Mr. Pillai is a
1516 junior government major at The University of Texas at Austin, where
1617 he holds the office of treasurer for the Phi Alpha Delta fraternity;
1718 moreover, he has helped to develop a startup offering luxury
1819 concierge services, and following his graduation, he plans to
1920 attend law school in hopes of pursuing a career as an attorney; and
2021 WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed his
2122 duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is
2223 indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now,
2324 therefore, be it
2425 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
2526 Legislature hereby commend Navin Pillai for his service as a
2627 legislative intern in the office of State Representative Dan
2728 Huberty and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success
2829 in all his endeavors; and, be it further
2930 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3031 prepared for Mr. Pillai as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3132 House of Representatives.
