| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Navin Pillai has ably served his fellow Texans as an |

| 6 | 7 | | intern in the office of State Representative Dan Huberty during the |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Pillai has provided |

| 9 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |

| 10 | 11 | | including working with constituents to ensure that their concerns |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | are addressed; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | field of public service, he has learned more about the legislative |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, The son of Gene and Hema Pillai, Mr. Pillai is a |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | junior government major at The University of Texas at Austin, where |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | he holds the office of treasurer for the Phi Alpha Delta fraternity; |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | moreover, he has helped to develop a startup offering luxury |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | concierge services, and following his graduation, he plans to |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | attend law school in hopes of pursuing a career as an attorney; and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed his |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, |

| 24 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |

| 25 | 26 | | Legislature hereby commend Navin Pillai for his service as a |
