| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Pete Jaramillo was named Man of the Year by the |

| 7 | 7 | | Progress Times and the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce at the |

| 8 | 8 | | annual Citizens Awards banquet in October 2016; and |

| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Each year, the Mission chamber and the Progress |

| 10 | 10 | | Times recognize outstanding citizens for their efforts to benefit |

| 11 | 11 | | the local community; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Despite his busy professional life as owner of Pete |

| 13 | 13 | | Jaramillo Insurance Services, Mr. Jaramillo has given generously |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | of his time and talents to many worthwhile local organizations; he |

| 15 | 15 | | has been a member of the boards of Leadership Mission and the |

| 16 | 16 | | Mission Historical Museum, with his membership on the museum board |

| 17 | 17 | | including his recent service presiding as board chair; he has also |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | taken on active roles with the Mission Economic Development |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Corporation and the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce; and |

| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Through his exceptional contributions, Pete |

| 21 | 21 | | Jaramillo has helped make Mission an even better place in which to |

| 22 | 22 | | live and work, and he is indeed deserving of this notable honor; |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |

| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Pete Jaramillo on his selection as |

| 26 | 26 | | the 2016 Man of the Year by the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce |
