| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Dana Riley has greatly benefited her community as |

| 6 | 7 | | executive director of Volunteer McKinney; and |

| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Appointed in 2012, Ms. Riley ably guides the |
|---|
| 8 | 9 | | center's initiatives, including volunteer recruitment, training of |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | nonprofit organizations, and educating businesses about employee |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | engagement and good corporate citizenship; over the years, she has |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | developed many innovative programs, and in 2015, she was named one |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | of the top 25 women in business by the McKinney Chamber of Commerce; |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | the following year, she received the 2016 Quality of Life Award from |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | the McKinney Community Development Corporation; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Riley brings to her position decades of |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | experience in community collaboration, volunteer management, and |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | critical incident response; she has authored numerous curricula for |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | training public servants and volunteers, and she often enhances the |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | learning process with games and activities that illustrate key |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | principles; she has an extensive background in working with |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | nonprofit organizations, Fortune 500 companies, and all levels of |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | government; and |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Before joining Volunteer McKinney, Ms. Riley served |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | as assistant human resources administrator for the Dallas County |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | Juvenile Department and as director of the Volunteer Center of |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | North Texas; earlier in her career, she assisted law enforcement |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | through service to the International Association of Chiefs of |
|---|
| 28 | 29 | | Police and the Garland Police Department, and she has been a guest |
|---|
| 29 | 30 | | lecturer at Sam Houston State University; and |
|---|
| 30 | 31 | | WHEREAS, Volunteer McKinney plays an important role in the |

| 31 | 32 | | community by connecting civic-minded residents with opportunities |
|---|
| 32 | 33 | | to make a positive impact, and through her skilled and dedicated |

| 33 | 34 | | leadership, Dana Riley has made this outstanding organization even |
