| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Mary Day Royston has ably served her fellow Texans |

| 6 | 7 | | as an intern in the office of State Representative Jason Isaac |

| 7 | 8 | | during the 85th Legislative Session; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Royston has provided |

| 9 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |

| 10 | 11 | | in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, she has gained |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | valuable experience in the field of public service; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Royston is a member of the Class of 2019 at The |

| 14 | 15 | | University of Texas at Austin, where she is pursuing a bachelor's |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | degree in government with a minor in communications; she is also |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | actively involved with Alpha Chi Omega, Not On My Campus, and the |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | College Republicans at Texas; and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |

| 19 | 20 | | duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |

| 21 | 22 | | therefore, be it |

| 22 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |

| 23 | 24 | | Legislature hereby commend Mary Day Royston for her service as a |
