| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, To earn this distinction, Ms. Metcalf successfully |

| 10 | 11 | | personal and spiritual growth, positive values, and leadership |

| 11 | 12 | | skills; as part of that process, she planned and implemented a Girl |

| 12 | 13 | | Scout Gold Award project that involved building birdhouses for the |

| 13 | 14 | | Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary in McKinney, |

| 14 | 15 | | giving presentations, and generally raising community awareness on |

| 15 | 16 | | how to provide food and shelter for bird species threatened by loss |

| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of David and Jean Metcalf, Ms. Metcalf |

| 20 | 21 | | derby, and the Legacy 4-H Club, which she has led as first vice |

| 22 | 23 | | Volunteer Service Award in 2017; and |

| 23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, By fostering self-confidence and by encouraging |

| 25 | 26 | | socially conscious, the Girl Scout program is helping its |

| 26 | 27 | | participants to achieve their greatest potential as engaged |

| 28 | 29 | | WHEREAS, The maturity and dedication that Ms. Metcalf has |
