H.R. No. 1900
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Steve Covarrubias Jr., a student at Robstown Early
College High School, was recognized as a recipient of the Education
to Employment Partners Scholarship at the annual E2E meeting on
April 19, 2017; and
WHEREAS, To be eligible for this scholarship, students must
be enrolled in a member school district, and honorees are selected
based on the strength of their application and on a personal
statement describing their goals for the future; and
WHEREAS, After graduating from high school, this outstanding
young Texan plans to continue his education at Texas A&M
University--Kingsville, where he will study chemical engineering;
and
WHEREAS, A fitting recipient of this notable honor, Steve
Covarrubias Jr. has demonstrated determination and perseverance in
the pursuit of his goals, and he may indeed look forward to a future
bright with promise; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Steve Covarrubias Jr. on his
receipt of a 2017 Education to Employment Partners Scholarship and
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all his
endeavors; and, be it further

ESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Covarrubias as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
