45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Tamira Jackson, a student at Roy Miller High School
67 in Corpus Christi, was recognized as a recipient of the Education to
78 Employment Partners Scholarship at the annual E2E meeting on April
89 19, 2017; and
910 WHEREAS, To be eligible for this scholarship, students must
1011 be enrolled in a member school district, and honorees are selected
1112 based on the strength of their application and on a personal
1213 statement describing their goals for the future; and
1314 WHEREAS, After graduating from high school, this outstanding
1415 young Texan plans to continue her education at Texas A&M
1516 University--Corpus Christi, where she will study anesthesiology;
1617 and
1718 WHEREAS, A fitting recipient of this notable honor, Tamira
1819 Jackson has demonstrated determination and perseverance in the
1920 pursuit of her goals, and she may indeed look forward to a future
2021 bright with promise; now, therefore, be it
2122 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
2223 Legislature hereby congratulate Tamira Jackson on her receipt of a
2324 2017 Education to Employment Partners Scholarship and extend to her
2425 sincere best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors;
2526 and, be it further
2627 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2728 prepared for Ms. Jackson as an expression of high regard by the
2829 Texas House of Representatives.
