H.R. No. 1924
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Thelma Tagle was presented with a Proud You're a
Picker Award by the Robstown Independent School District in March
2017; and
WHEREAS, This accolade is given to district employees who
have gone above and beyond their usual responsibilities in order to
help a student, parent, volunteer, community member, or colleague;
and
WHEREAS, A teaching assistant in the computer lab at
Lotspeich Elementary School, Mrs. Tagle is dedicated to enriching
the educational experiences of her students, and she often helps
them with their homework and provides tutoring when necessary;
moreover, she creates her own word searches for the students out of
their weekly spelling words and assists with the 21st Century
Community Learning Centers after-school program; and
WHEREAS, Those individuals who give generously of their time
and talents strengthen the organizations in which they work, and it
is a pleasure to recognize this dedicated professional for her
contributions to Robstown ISD; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Thelma Tagle on her receipt of a
Proud You're a Picker Award from the Robstown Independent School
District and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mrs. Tagle as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
