R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Jacob Soliz has been presented with an Outstanding
Award from the Project GRAD program at Texas A&M University--Corpus
Christi; and
WHEREAS, Project GRAD is part of the university's Programs
for Academic Student Support (PASS) initiative, which furthers the
goals of TAMU--CC by providing resources to low-income,
first-generation, and underrepresented students; in receiving an
Outstanding Award, Mr. Soliz was recognized for demonstrating
excellence in his field of study; and
WHEREAS, A freshman kinesiology student in the pre-allied
health program at TAMU--CC, Mr. Soliz hopes to pursue a career as a
physical therapist after completing his education; and
WHEREAS, Jacob Soliz is indeed deserving of this prestigious
honor, and he may look forward to a future bright with promise; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Jacob Soliz on his receipt of a
Project GRAD Outstanding Award and extend to him sincere best
wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Soliz as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
