H.R. No. 1960
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Elizabeth Cristan has been presented with an
Outstanding Award by the Student Support Services program at Texas
A&M University--Corpus Christi; and
WHEREAS, SSS is part of the university's Programs for
Academic Student Support (PASS) initiative, which furthers the
goals of TAMU--CC by providing resources to low-income,
first-generation, and underrepresented students; in receiving an
Outstanding Award, Ms. Cristan was recognized for her notable
record of scholastic achievement; and
WHEREAS, A native of Corpus Christi, Ms. Cristan is currently
a senior at TAMU--CC, where she is working toward a bachelor's
degree in information technology; after graduating, she plans to
pursue a career in programming and cybersecurity; and
WHEREAS, Elizabeth Cristan is indeed deserving of this
prestigious honor, and she may look forward to a future bright with
promise; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Elizabeth Cristan on her receipt of
a Student Support Services Outstanding Award and extend to her
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Cristan as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
