| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Katherine Munal has ably served her fellow Texans as |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, In her role as chief of staff, Ms. Munal has played |

| 9 | 10 | | an important part in facilitating Representative Sanford's work in |

| 10 | 11 | | state government; she has provided vital leadership to ensure the |

| 11 | 12 | | efficient operation of the representative's office while handling a |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | wide variety of challenging tasks, including overseeing |

| 13 | 14 | | legislation and organizing special events and initiatives, such as |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | the Texas Prayer Breakfast for the 84th and 85th Sessions; and |

| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Before joining Representative Sanford's office, |

| 16 | 17 | | Ms. Munal held a number of other positions with the Texas |

| 17 | 18 | | Legislature, including chief of staff for Representative Jim |

| 18 | 19 | | Landtroop, legislative aide and correspondence coordinator for the |

| 19 | 20 | | Texas Senate, and legislative aide for Senator Craig Estes; in |

| 20 | 21 | | recognition of her commitment to excellence, she was named the Best |

| 21 | 22 | | Chief of Staff for the Texas House of Representatives and nominated |

| 22 | 23 | | for Best All-Around Veteran Staffer at the 2015 Capitol Crowd |

| 23 | 24 | | Awards; she holds a bachelor's degree in government from The |

| 24 | 25 | | University of Texas at Austin, and in 2009 she studied |

| 25 | 26 | | international government and globalization at Richmond, the |
|---|

| 27 | 28 | | WHEREAS, This esteemed public employee has performed her |

| 28 | 29 | | duties as chief of staff with skill and dedication, and she is |

| 29 | 30 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |
