| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the |

| 6 | 7 | | passing of Walter Keven Davis of Waxahachie on April 24, 2017, at |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Born in March 1951 to Luther Monroe Davis and Grace |

| 9 | 10 | | Weir, Keven Davis shared a rewarding marriage with Dana Davis that |

| 10 | 11 | | spanned 35 years; he was the father of three sons, Erik, Kody, and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | Brittain, and in later years, he was blessed with five |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Davis was a partner at the surveying and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | engineering firm of Davis and McDill for 29 years, and he was widely |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | respected in the business community of Waxahachie; a man of |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | profound religious faith, he was active in the Walk to Emmaus and |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | Kairos Prison Ministries at First United Methodist Church of Red |

| 18 | 19 | | Oak; and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, A warmhearted and good-humored man, Mr. Davis loved |

| 20 | 21 | | to sing and play the guitar, tell silly jokes and tall tales, and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | collect arrowheads; he took great delight in nature and enjoyed |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | stories of the paranormal, even if he didn't quite believe them; a |

| 23 | 24 | | serious Harry Potter fan, he considered himself a member in good |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | standing of House Gryffindor of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft |

| 25 | 26 | | and Wizardry; and |

| 26 | 27 | | WHEREAS, A loving husband, father, and grandfather, and a |

| 27 | 28 | | true and loyal friend, Keven Davis lived a joyful and purposeful |

| 28 | 29 | | life, and memories of happy times spent in his company will forever |

| 29 | 30 | | illuminate the hearts of all who were privileged to know him; now, |
