| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Pilar Harkless has been presented with an |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The SSS--STEM program is part of the university's |

| 9 | 10 | | Programs for Academic Student Support (PASS) initiative, which |

| 10 | 11 | | furthers the goals of TAMU--CC by providing resources to |

| 11 | 12 | | low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented students; in |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | receiving an Outstanding Award, Ms. Harkless was recognized for her |

| 13 | 14 | | academic achievements as a student majoring in a science, |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | technology, engineering, or mathematics field of study; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Harkless is currently pursuing an undergraduate |

| 16 | 17 | | degree in biomedical engineering at TAMU--CC, and she has been |

| 17 | 18 | | enrolled in the SSS--STEM program for the past eight months; and |

| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Pilar Harkless is indeed deserving of this |

| 19 | 20 | | prestigious honor, and she may look forward to a future bright with |
