H.R. No. 208 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, School boards play a crucial role in meeting the diverse educational needs of the children in their districts, and the observance of School Board Recognition Month in January 2017 provides a welcome opportunity to honor the trustees of the Valley View Independent School District; and WHEREAS, The mission of public schools throughout the state and nation is to empower children to become productive contributors to society in an ever-changing world; to that end, the Valley View ISD school board members partner closely with superintendent Rolando Ramirez, along with parents, teachers, and community leaders, to set policy that promotes a learning environment in which students across the district's eight campuses have a chance to thrive; and WHEREAS, The dedicated individuals currently serving on the Valley View ISD Board of Trustees are president Frank Jimenez, vice president Jose A. Rosillo, secretary Noe Pruneda, assistant secretary Ricardo Cortez Jr., and members Juan A. Pimentel, Efrain Perez, and Susana Arredondo; and WHEREAS, Each of these notable Texans demonstrates a truly exemplary commitment to area students and brings a set of skills and a range of experience that contribute immeasurably to the successful operation of the district; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas Legislature hereby honor the Valley View Independent School District Board of Trustees on the occasion of School Board Recognition Month and extend to its members sincere appreciation for their outstanding service to the community; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the Valley View ISD Board of Trustees as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
