| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, George Ann Voss has been presented with a Superstar |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, SSS-STEM is part of the university's Programs for |

| 9 | 10 | | Academic Student Support (PASS) initiative, which furthers the |

| 10 | 11 | | goals of TAMU--CC by providing resources to low-income, |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | first-generation, and underrepresented students; in receiving a |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | Superstar Award, Ms. Voss was recognized for helping other |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | students, demonstrating exceptional leadership, and participating |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | in a variety of campus and program activities; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, A native of San Antonio, Ms. Voss received an |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | associate degree in liberal arts from San Antonio College; she is |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | currently a senior at TAMU--CC and will graduate with a bachelor's |

| 18 | 19 | | degree in nursing in May 2017; she is also an ROTC cadet and serves |

| 19 | 20 | | as a mentor for her fellow ROTC nursing students; moreover, she has |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | helped lead two nursing classes at TAMU--CC as a student |

| 21 | 22 | | instructor, and she holds membership in the Golden Key |

| 22 | 23 | | International Honour Society and the Sigma Theta Tau International |

| 23 | 24 | | Honor Society of Nursing; this outstanding young Texan has earned |

| 24 | 25 | | admission to the Washington State University Doctor of Nursing |

| 25 | 26 | | Practice--Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program, |

| 26 | 27 | | and in August 2017, she will be commissioned as a second lieutenant |

| 27 | 28 | | in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps; and |

| 28 | 29 | | WHEREAS, George Ann Voss is indeed deserving of this |
