| 12 | 13 | | goals of TAMU--CC by providing resources to low-income, |

| 14 | 15 | | Community Services Award, Mrs. Barrera was recognized for her |

| 15 | 16 | | participation in numerous TRIO Islanders community service |

| 16 | 17 | | projects, and the organization also honored her for her |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | demonstrated leadership abilities and her campus involvement with |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | the Outstanding Award; furthermore, she earned a Student Support |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | Services Rising Star Award for her notable academic achievements; |

| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Currently in her junior year, Mrs. Barrera is |

| 22 | 23 | | working toward a degree in accounting and management information |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | systems, and she plans to attain a master's degree, an accounting |

| 24 | 25 | | license, and a Ph.D. in pursuit of a career as a college professor; |

| 25 | 26 | | moreover, she serves as treasurer of the TRIO Islanders |

| 26 | 27 | | Organization and will hold the offices of vice president and |

| 27 | 28 | | secretary during the 2017-2018 school year; and |

| 28 | 29 | | WHEREAS, Jessica Barrera is indeed deserving of these |
