45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Charles
67 Hamilton of DeSoto, who passed away on May 10, 2017, at the age of
78 71; and
89 WHEREAS, The son of Clarine Alford and Charles Elvis Roberts,
910 Charles Hamilton was born in Dallas on October 24, 1945; he served
1011 his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War; and
1112 WHEREAS, Mr. Hamilton and his wife, Barbara, were married in
1213 1964; he was the devoted father of three children, Natalie Hamilton
1314 Miller, Charles Elvis Hamilton Jr., and the late Angela Hamilton;
1415 with the passing years, he experienced the joy of welcoming into his
1516 family three beloved grandchildren, Trenton Charles Duffie, Xavier
1617 Miller, and Zachary Miller; and
1718 WHEREAS, For 25 years, Mr. Hamilton was employed by the
1819 Vandenberg Company; he was also a valued member of Cedar Hill Church
1920 of Christ; in his free time, he enjoyed fishing, and he was very
2021 fond of music, especially soul music; and
2122 WHEREAS, Although Charles Hamilton will be deeply missed, he
2223 has left his family and friends with a wealth of memories that they
2324 will forever treasure; now, therefore, be it
2425 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
2526 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Charles Hamilton and
2627 extend deepest condolences to his loved ones; and, be it further
2728 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2829 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
2930 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Charles
3031 Hamilton.
