| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Charles |

| 6 | 7 | | Hamilton of DeSoto, who passed away on May 10, 2017, at the age of |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The son of Clarine Alford and Charles Elvis Roberts, |

| 9 | 10 | | Charles Hamilton was born in Dallas on October 24, 1945; he served |

| 10 | 11 | | his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War; and |

| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Hamilton and his wife, Barbara, were married in |

| 12 | 13 | | 1964; he was the devoted father of three children, Natalie Hamilton |

| 13 | 14 | | Miller, Charles Elvis Hamilton Jr., and the late Angela Hamilton; |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | with the passing years, he experienced the joy of welcoming into his |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | family three beloved grandchildren, Trenton Charles Duffie, Xavier |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Miller, and Zachary Miller; and |

| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, For 25 years, Mr. Hamilton was employed by the |

| 18 | 19 | | Vandenberg Company; he was also a valued member of Cedar Hill Church |

| 19 | 20 | | of Christ; in his free time, he enjoyed fishing, and he was very |

| 20 | 21 | | fond of music, especially soul music; and |

| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Although Charles Hamilton will be deeply missed, he |

| 22 | 23 | | has left his family and friends with a wealth of memories that they |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | will forever treasure; now, therefore, be it |

| 24 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |

| 25 | 26 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Charles Hamilton and |

| 26 | 27 | | extend deepest condolences to his loved ones; and, be it further |
