H.R. No. 222
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, James and Anne Weatherill of Corpus Christi
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on December 20, 2016, and
they may indeed reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they
have shared; and
WHEREAS, On that memorable day in 1966, Mr. and
Mrs. Weatherill exchanged the vows of matrimony at Our Lady of
Perpetual Help Church in Riverside, California, and over the course
of their marriage, they have found in each other a loving life
partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Weatherill count among their blessings
a fine family that includes their two daughters and two grandsons,
with whom they treasure spending many special occasions; and
WHEREAS, For half a century, James and Anne Weatherill have
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate James and Anne Weatherill on their
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Weatherill as an expression of high
regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
