 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Andrea Ojeda has ably served her fellow Texans as a
 Mexican American Legislative Leadership Foundation Fellow and
 intern in the office of State Representative Rafael Anchia during
 the 85th Legislative Session; and
 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Ojeda has provided
 vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;
 in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public
 service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the
 issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
 WHEREAS, A native of Houston, Ms. Ojeda earned a bachelor's
 degree in political science from St. Edward's University, where she
 served as senator pro tempore of the Student Government Association
 and volunteered her time as a site coordinator for the Big Event, a
 major campus-wide service project; she has also previously held
 internships with the Houston Hispanic Forum, the Austin Chamber of
 Commerce, the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for
 Hispanics, the Texas Democratic Party, and the Center for Public
 Policy Priorities; and
 WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her
 duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is
 indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
 Legislature hereby commend Andrea Ojeda for her service as a
 legislative intern in the office of State Representative Rafael
 Anchia and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success
 in all her endeavors; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Ojeda as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
