| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Andrea Ojeda has ably served her fellow Texans as a |

| 7 | 8 | | intern in the office of State Representative Rafael Anchia during |

| 8 | 9 | | the 85th Legislative Session; and |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Ojeda has provided |

| 10 | 11 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |

| 11 | 12 | | in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |

| 12 | 13 | | service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |

| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, A native of Houston, Ms. Ojeda earned a bachelor's |

| 15 | 16 | | degree in political science from St. Edward's University, where she |

| 16 | 17 | | served as senator pro tempore of the Student Government Association |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | and volunteered her time as a site coordinator for the Big Event, a |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | major campus-wide service project; she has also previously held |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | internships with the Houston Hispanic Forum, the Austin Chamber of |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | Commerce, the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | Hispanics, the Texas Democratic Party, and the Center for Public |

| 22 | 23 | | Policy Priorities; and |

| 23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |

| 24 | 25 | | duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is |

| 25 | 26 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |
