 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, July 20, 2017, marks the 60th wedding anniversary of
 T. C. and Mary Jo Ellard, and this joyous event provides a fitting
 opportunity to reflect on their rewarding journey together as
 husband and wife; and
 WHEREAS, Members of the Class of 1957 at Crozier Technical
 High School in Dal1as, Mr. and Mrs. Ellard were high school
 sweethearts who exchanged the vows of matrimony the summer
 following their graduation; over the years, they have been blessed
 with a treasured family that includes their five children, Richard,
 Jeff, Andy, Todd, and Angela, as well as their 11 grandchildren,
 Elaine, Lindsey, Emily, Nicole, Zak, Manda, Ty, Amy, Abigail, Joe,
 and Luke; and
 WHEREAS, The Ellards have been valued residents of the
 Coppell community for the past 26 years, after living in Dallas for
 a decade and in Irving for nearly a quarter century; Mr. Ellard
 worked as a machinist, managing the Manda Machine Company, which he
 and his wife bought from her parents in 1982 and sold to their sons
 Richard, Andy, and Todd in 2002; Mrs. Ellard has devoted herself to
 her home and family throughout their marriage, and along with her
 husband, she is a greeter at St. Ann Catholic Church; in her spare
 time, she enjoys shopping for her grandchildren, and Mr. Ellard can
 often be found on the golf course; and
 WHEREAS, The six decades of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. Ellard
 have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and
 commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all who
 know them; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate T. C. and Mary Jo Ellard on their
 60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
 continued happiness; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
