H.R. No. 2285
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Nneka Ukegbu has been presented with an Outstanding
Award from the Student Support Services program at Texas A&M
University--Corpus Christi; and
WHEREAS, Student Support Services is part of the university's
Programs for Academic Student Support (PASS) initiative, which
furthers the goals of TAMU--CC by providing resources to
low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented students; in
receiving an Outstanding Award, Ms. Ukegbu was recognized for her
record of academic excellence; and
WHEREAS, Currently in her senior year at TAMU--Corpus
Christi, Ms. Ukegbu is working toward a degree in health science; a
native of Nigeria, she hopes to one day pursue a career with the
United Nations global health division; and
WHEREAS, Nneka Ukegbu is indeed deserving of this prestigious
honor, and she may look forward to a future bright with promise;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Nneka Ukegbu on her receipt of a
Student Support Services Outstanding Award and extend to her
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Ukegbu as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
