| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The Buckner Family Hope Center at Aldine celebrated |

| 6 | 7 | | its 27th anniversary on April 27, 2017; and |

| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Founded by Sylvia Bolling as Aldine YOUTH in 1990, |

| 8 | 9 | | the facility adopted its current name in 2012 after partnering with |

| 9 | 10 | | Buckner International, a global ministry focused on strengthening |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | families, assisting children, and helping seniors to enjoy an |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | improved quality of life; and |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Today, the Buckner Family Hope Center offers more |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | than 20 programs that provide individuals in need with critical |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | services and aid, including case management, family counseling, |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | food and clothing, job training, and after-school and summer youth |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | initiatives; and |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, For more than a quarter century, the Buckner Family |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | Hope Center at Aldine has made a positive difference in the lives of |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | countless Houston-area residents, and this worthwhile organization |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | is truly deserving of special recognition; now, therefore, be it |

| 21 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |

| 22 | 23 | | Legislature hereby commemorate the 27th anniversary of the Buckner |

| 23 | 24 | | Family Hope Center at Aldine and extend to all those associated with |

| 24 | 25 | | the facility sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |

| 25 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
