| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Graduation from college is one of life's momentous |

| 7 | 8 | | achievement as a member of the Class of 2017 at Prairie View A&M |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, The son of Earlmond Hammond Jr. and Janette Hammond, |

| 10 | 11 | | Earlmond Hammond III completed his bachelor's degree in biology; he |

| 11 | 12 | | plans to attend Vet Tech Institute of Houston to become a licensed |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | veterinary technician before going on to enroll in veterinary |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | school; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Hammond is a graduate of Lawrence E. Elkins High |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | School in Missouri City, where he played football and was a member |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | of FFA; an Eagle Scout, he is also an active congregant of New Faith |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | Church, and he has served as a member of the Youth Usher Board, |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | Youth Leadership Board, and Drama Ministry; and |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this |

| 20 | 21 | | outstanding young Texan, and he may indeed take pride in his |

| 21 | 22 | | accomplishments as he looks forward to a future bright with |

| 22 | 23 | | promise; now, therefore, be it |
