| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, The son of Bernard Seal Sr. and Evelyn Abroms Seal |

| 10 | 11 | | Kraus, B. J. Seal was born in 1959 in Florence, Alabama; he moved |

| 11 | 12 | | with his family to Corpus Christi in 1962, and throughout his life, |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | he considered the city to be his true home; an alumnus of King High |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | School, he went on to graduate from Southwest Texas State |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | University in San Marcos, where he was a member of Sigma Nu |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | fraternity; and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, After returning to Corpus Christi, Mr. Seal took a |

| 17 | 18 | | job as a real estate agent with his family's firm, Berney Seal Co. |

| 18 | 19 | | Realtors; his love for good food eventually led him to embark on a |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | second career as the proprietor of Bernard's Deli, which later |

| 20 | 21 | | became Bernard's Catering; and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Though his journey on this earth ended far too soon, |

| 22 | 23 | | B. J. Seal touched the lives of countless individuals with his |

| 23 | 24 | | warmth, his generosity, and his delightful wit, and he will always |

| 24 | 25 | | be remembered with great affection by those he leaves behind; now, |

| 26 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
