| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Christine Reiser-Robbins has been presented with a |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Established in 2004, this accolade is annually |

| 9 | 10 | | bestowed on individuals who have rendered distinguished service in |

| 10 | 11 | | advancing the NCHS mission to promote and preserve the history of |

| 11 | 12 | | Nueces County and the Coastal Bend; and |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, The late Dan Kilgore was regarded as one of the |

| 13 | 14 | | state's foremost lay historians; in addition to amassing an |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | extensive personal collection of Texana, which he donated to Texas |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | A&M University--Corpus Christi, he authored numerous books, |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | newspaper articles, and reviews on the subject of South Texas |

| 17 | 18 | | history and also spoke frequently on local history topics before |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | area groups; and |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, A truly deserving recipient of this honor, Dr. |

| 20 | 21 | | Reiser-Robbins enjoys a rewarding career as an assistant professor |

| 21 | 22 | | of anthropology at Texas A&M University--Kingsville; in addition to |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | fulfilling the duties of her busy professional life, she has given |

| 23 | 24 | | generously of her time and energies in behalf of NCHS and her |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | community at large; and |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, This notable Texan has demonstrated a profound |

| 26 | 27 | | commitment to the stewardship of local history, and her |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | contributions will help current and future generations of Coastal |

| 28 | 29 | | Bend residents to more fully understand and appreciate their rich |
