 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Hira Saleem has ably served her fellow Texans as a
 legislative aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner
 during the 85th Legislative Session; and
 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Saleem has provided
 vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;
 in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public
 service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the
 issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
 WHEREAS, A senior at The University of Texas at Dallas,
 Ms. Saleem is pursuing a double major in finance and
 entrepreneurship, and she has attained a number of honors and
 awards, including the Academic Excellence and Dean's Scholarships;
 she has also participated in the Professional Program in Finance,
 Alternative Spring Break, and an International Undergraduate Study
 Program in Germany; she has previously completed internships with
 Textron Specialized Vehicles and Bell Helicopter, and following the
 legislative session, she will intern at Comcast's global
 headquarters in Philadelphia; and
 WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her
 duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is
 indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
 Legislature hereby commend Hira Saleem for her service as a
 legislative aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner
 and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all
 her endeavors; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Saleem as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
