45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Carlos Dinkel has ably served his fellow Texans as a
67 legislative aide in the office of State Representative Eddie
78 Rodriguez during the 85th Legislative Session; and
89 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Dinkel has provided
910 vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks,
1011 including meeting with advocacy groups, tracking legislation, and
1112 attending policy meetings, and he has become particularly well
1213 versed in voting and immigrant rights; in addition to gaining
1314 valuable experience in the field of public service, he has learned
1415 more about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens
1516 of the Lone Star State; and
1617 WHEREAS, An international relations major at The University
1718 of Texas at Austin, Mr. Dinkel will spend this summer and fall
1819 studying international security at Sciences Po in Paris; following
1920 his graduation, he plans to pursue a career in foreign affairs with
2021 a focus on national security; and
2122 WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed his
2223 duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and he is
2324 indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now,
2425 therefore, be it
2526 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
2627 Legislature hereby commend Carlos Dinkel for his service as a
2728 legislative aide in the office of State Representative Eddie
2829 Rodriguez and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
2930 success in all his endeavors; and, be it further
3031 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3132 prepared for Mr. Dinkel as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3233 House of Representatives.
