| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, James Moore has ably served his fellow Texans as a |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Moore has provided |

| 9 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling such diverse and challenging tasks as |

| 10 | 11 | | meeting with advocacy groups, performing administrative work, and |

| 11 | 12 | | participating in policy meetings, and he has become particularly |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | well versed in issues relating to immigrants and persons seeking |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | citizenship; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | field of public service, he has learned more about the legislative |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |

| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Moore is a student at The University of Texas at |

| 17 | 18 | | Austin, where he is pursuing a degree in international relations |

| 18 | 19 | | and history; and |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed his |

| 20 | 21 | | duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and he is |

| 21 | 22 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, |

| 23 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
