| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Cheryl Hankamer has ably served her fellow Texans as |

| 6 | 7 | | an aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner during |

| 7 | 8 | | the 85th Legislative Session; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Hankamer has provided |

| 9 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |

| 10 | 11 | | including researching legislation, conducting policy analysis, and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | meeting with constituents; in addition to gaining valuable |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | experience in the field of public service, she has learned more |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, A graduate student in the LBJ School of Public |

| 16 | 17 | | Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin, Ms. Hankamer holds |

| 17 | 18 | | bachelor's degrees in global studies and Spanish from the |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | University of California; she has served as president and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | parliamentarian for the LBJ School Graduate Public Affairs Council, |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | and she has previously worked as an office manager, intake |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | coordinator, and Montessori teaching assistant; moreover, she |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | completed an internship with Deloitte Consulting in Washington, |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | D.C., and she has dedicated her time and talents to a number of |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | worthwhile groups, including Caritas of Austin, Barbara Jordan |

| 25 | 26 | | Elementary School, and the Inside Books Project; and |

| 26 | 27 | | WHEREAS, This noteworthy Texan has performed her duties as a |

| 27 | 28 | | legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |

| 28 | 29 | | deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |

| 30 | 31 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
