H.R. No. 2459 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Graduation from high school is one of life's pivotal milestones, and Juan Antonio Hernandez is celebrating that significant achievement as a member of the Class of 2017 at the Americas High School Libertas Academy in El Paso; and WHEREAS, Mr. Hernandez is among the students who have completed their secondary education in the academy's Advanced Academics Program, which features specialized curricula focused on law, government, and public administration; and WHEREAS, The son of Abel and Yolanda Hernandez, Mr. Hernandez is an officer of the National Technical Honor Society and a member of moot court and the marching and concert bands; he earned a first division rating in the University Interscholastic League regional solo and ensemble competition and qualified for UIL state marching band; in addition, he is president of Youth for Christ; he plans to major in political science at The University of Texas at El Paso with a view toward pursuing a career in public office; and WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join his family and friends in recognizing him as he embarks on a future bright with promise; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Juan Antonio Hernandez on the occasion of his graduation from the Americas High School Libertas Academy and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Hernandez as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
