H.R. No. 2463
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Graduation from high school is one of life's pivotal
milestones, and Jesus Vasquez is celebrating that significant
achievement as a member of the Class of 2017 at the Americas High
School Libertas Academy in El Paso; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Vasquez is among the students who have completed
their secondary education in the academy's Advanced Academics
Program, which features specialized curricula focused on law,
government, and public administration; and
WHEREAS, The son of Virginia Vasquez and Jesus Vasquez,
Mr. Vasquez distinguished himself as a gifted athlete during his
high school career, excelling in football, track, and wrestling;
the recipient of District 1-6A All-Academic honors, he helped lead
the Trailblazers football team to consecutive bi-district
championships; he was also an active member of DECA; after
graduating, he plans to study criminal justice and play football at
Sul Ross State University; and
WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this
outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join his family and
friends in recognizing him as he embarks on a future bright with
promise; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Jesus Vasquez on the occasion of
his graduation from the Americas High School Libertas Academy and
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and
happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Vasquez as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
