45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Graduation from high school is one of life's pivotal
67 milestones, and Jesus Vasquez is celebrating that significant
78 achievement as a member of the Class of 2017 at the Americas High
89 School Libertas Academy in El Paso; and
910 WHEREAS, Mr. Vasquez is among the students who have completed
1011 their secondary education in the academy's Advanced Academics
1112 Program, which features specialized curricula focused on law,
1213 government, and public administration; and
1314 WHEREAS, The son of Virginia Vasquez and Jesus Vasquez,
1415 Mr. Vasquez distinguished himself as a gifted athlete during his
1516 high school career, excelling in football, track, and wrestling;
1617 the recipient of District 1-6A All-Academic honors, he helped lead
1718 the Trailblazers football team to consecutive bi-district
1819 championships; he was also an active member of DECA; after
1920 graduating, he plans to study criminal justice and play football at
2021 Sul Ross State University; and
2122 WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this
2223 outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join his family and
2324 friends in recognizing him as he embarks on a future bright with
2425 promise; now, therefore, be it
2526 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
2627 Legislature hereby congratulate Jesus Vasquez on the occasion of
2728 his graduation from the Americas High School Libertas Academy and
2829 extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and
2930 happiness; and, be it further
3031 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3132 prepared for Mr. Vasquez as an expression of high regard by the
3233 Texas House of Representatives.
