H.R. No. 247
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Gene Buckner ably served as Real County commissioner
for Precinct 3 for eight years, and his efforts and dedication in
public office are indeed deserving of recognition; and
WHEREAS, First sworn in as a commissioner in 2009,
Mr. Buckner demonstrated a deep concern for his community as he
worked tirelessly to address the needs of his fellow citizens; and
WHEREAS, An alumnus of Texas State University, this esteemed
Texan studied agricultural business and management, and today he
runs a ranch as well as another business enterprise, Camp Wood Self
Storage; and
WHEREAS, During his tenure on the commissioners court, Gene
Buckner continually sought to advance the well-being of Real County
residents, and he may indeed take pride in all he accomplished; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby honor Gene Buckner for his committed public
service and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and,
be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Buckner as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
