| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Gene Buckner ably served as Real County commissioner |

| 6 | 7 | | for Precinct 3 for eight years, and his efforts and dedication in |

| 7 | 8 | | public office are indeed deserving of recognition; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, First sworn in as a commissioner in 2009, |

| 9 | 10 | | Mr. Buckner demonstrated a deep concern for his community as he |

| 10 | 11 | | worked tirelessly to address the needs of his fellow citizens; and |

| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, An alumnus of Texas State University, this esteemed |

| 12 | 13 | | Texan studied agricultural business and management, and today he |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | runs a ranch as well as another business enterprise, Camp Wood Self |

| 14 | 15 | | Storage; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, During his tenure on the commissioners court, Gene |

| 16 | 17 | | Buckner continually sought to advance the well-being of Real County |

| 17 | 18 | | residents, and he may indeed take pride in all he accomplished; now, |

| 19 | 20 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |

| 20 | 21 | | Legislature hereby honor Gene Buckner for his committed public |
