45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Graduation from high school is one of life's pivotal
67 milestones, and Julissa Mitchell is celebrating that significant
78 achievement as a member of the Class of 2017 at the Americas High
89 School Libertas Academy in El Paso; and
910 WHEREAS, Ms. Mitchell is among the students who have
1011 completed their secondary education in the academy's Advanced
1112 Academics Program, which features specialized curricula focused on
1213 law, government, and public administration; and
1314 WHEREAS, The daughter of Michelle and Joseph Mitchell,
1415 Ms. Mitchell has participated in a number of extracurricular
1516 activities throughout her high school career, including
1617 volleyball, basketball, theater, and National Honor Society; she
1718 has received several Triple "A" Awards and earned All-Star Cast
1819 honors with her performance in the University Interscholastic
1920 League One-Act Play competition; following her graduation, she
2021 plans to pursue a college degree in English; and
2122 WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this
2223 outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join her family and
2324 friends in recognizing her as she embarks on a future bright with
2425 promise; now, therefore, be it
2526 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
2627 Legislature hereby congratulate Julissa Mitchell on the occasion of
2728 her graduation from the Americas High School Libertas Academy and
2829 extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success and
2930 happiness; and, be it further
3031 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3132 prepared for Ms. Mitchell as an expression of high regard by the
3233 Texas House of Representatives.
