| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Jim Wilson retired as the Real County constable for |

| 6 | 7 | | Precincts 1, 2, and 5 on December 31, 2016, drawing to a close a |

| 7 | 8 | | notable tenure in that office; and |
|---|
| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, A longtime county resident who first moved to the |

| 9 | 10 | | Leakey area in 1981, Mr. Wilson distinguished himself during the |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | nine years that he served as constable; this experienced law |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | enforcement professional was previously employed by the Texas Parks |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | and Wildlife Department for more than 27 years before retiring; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Wilson is a graduate of Sul Ross State |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | University and holds certification as a master peace officer; he |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | completed over 6,000 hours of advanced training and worked side by |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | side with local, state, and federal agencies for his entire career; |

| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Retirement will afford Mr. Wilson the opportunity |

| 19 | 20 | | to spend more time with his family, which includes his wife, Sheryl, |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | and their children, Jimmy, Jamie, Whitney, and Maxwell, and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | grandchildren, Tri, Autumn, Sutton, Saxon, and Adilan; and |

| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Jim Wilson's deep commitment to public service has |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | contributed immensely to the safety and well-being of the citizens |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | of Real County, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a job well |

| 25 | 26 | | done; now, therefore, be it |

| 26 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |

| 27 | 28 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Jim Wilson on his retirement as a |
