45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Jim Wilson retired as the Real County constable for
67 Precincts 1, 2, and 5 on December 31, 2016, drawing to a close a
78 notable tenure in that office; and
89 WHEREAS, A longtime county resident who first moved to the
910 Leakey area in 1981, Mr. Wilson distinguished himself during the
1011 nine years that he served as constable; this experienced law
1112 enforcement professional was previously employed by the Texas Parks
1213 and Wildlife Department for more than 27 years before retiring; and
1314 WHEREAS, Mr. Wilson is a graduate of Sul Ross State
1415 University and holds certification as a master peace officer; he
1516 completed over 6,000 hours of advanced training and worked side by
1617 side with local, state, and federal agencies for his entire career;
1718 and
1819 WHEREAS, Retirement will afford Mr. Wilson the opportunity
1920 to spend more time with his family, which includes his wife, Sheryl,
2021 and their children, Jimmy, Jamie, Whitney, and Maxwell, and
2122 grandchildren, Tri, Autumn, Sutton, Saxon, and Adilan; and
2223 WHEREAS, Jim Wilson's deep commitment to public service has
2324 contributed immensely to the safety and well-being of the citizens
2425 of Real County, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a job well
2526 done; now, therefore, be it
2627 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
2728 Legislature hereby congratulate Jim Wilson on his retirement as a
2829 Real County constable and extend to him sincere best wishes for the
2930 future; and, be it further
3031 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3132 prepared for Mr. Wilson as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3233 House of Representatives.
