| 8 | 9 | | School Libertas Academy in El Paso; and |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Pepen is among the students who have completed |

| 10 | 11 | | their secondary education in the academy's Advanced Academics |

| 11 | 12 | | Program, which features specialized curricula focused on law, |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | government, and public administration; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of Manuel and Tracie Pepen, Imani Pepen |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | has distinguished herself as a member of the debate team, and she |

| 15 | 16 | | has earned recognition from the Top Teens of America and has been |

| 16 | 17 | | offered a scholarship for the study of prelaw; she plans to major in |

| 17 | 18 | | mass communications at The University of Texas at El Paso and go on |

| 18 | 19 | | to attend law school at Southern University in Baton Rouge, |

| 19 | 20 | | Louisiana; and |

| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this |

| 21 | 22 | | outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join her family and |

| 22 | 23 | | friends in recognizing her as she embarks on a future bright with |
