R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Graduation from high school is one of life's pivotal
milestones, and Lizbeth Tamara Rayas is celebrating that
significant achievement as a member of the Class of 2017 at the
Americas High School Libertas Academy in El Paso; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Rayas is among the students who have completed
their secondary education in the academy's Advanced Academics
Program, which features specialized curricula focused on law,
government, and public administration; and
WHEREAS, The daughter of Elizabeth Bonilla and Eduardo Angel
Rayas Jr., Ms. Rayas holds membership with the National Technical
Honor Society and the Mu Alpha Theta mathematics honor society, and
she has also participated in University Interscholastic League
state competitions as a member of the school band; after
graduating, she plans to study mathematics at The University of
Texas at Austin and to eventually pursue a career as a math teacher;
and
WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this
outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join her family and
friends in recognizing her as she embarks on a future bright with
promise; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Lizbeth Tamara Rayas on the
occasion of her graduation from the Americas High School Libertas
Academy and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success
and happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Rayas as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
