45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Graduation from high school is one of life's pivotal
67 milestones, and Lizbeth Tamara Rayas is celebrating that
78 significant achievement as a member of the Class of 2017 at the
89 Americas High School Libertas Academy in El Paso; and
910 WHEREAS, Ms. Rayas is among the students who have completed
1011 their secondary education in the academy's Advanced Academics
1112 Program, which features specialized curricula focused on law,
1213 government, and public administration; and
1314 WHEREAS, The daughter of Elizabeth Bonilla and Eduardo Angel
1415 Rayas Jr., Ms. Rayas holds membership with the National Technical
1516 Honor Society and the Mu Alpha Theta mathematics honor society, and
1617 she has also participated in University Interscholastic League
1718 state competitions as a member of the school band; after
1819 graduating, she plans to study mathematics at The University of
1920 Texas at Austin and to eventually pursue a career as a math teacher;
2021 and
2122 WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this
2223 outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join her family and
2324 friends in recognizing her as she embarks on a future bright with
2425 promise; now, therefore, be it
2526 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
2627 Legislature hereby congratulate Lizbeth Tamara Rayas on the
2728 occasion of her graduation from the Americas High School Libertas
2829 Academy and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success
2930 and happiness; and, be it further
3031 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3132 prepared for Ms. Rayas as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3233 House of Representatives.
