H.R. No. 2500
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Saherish Surani is graduating as the valedictorian
of the senior class of Veterans Memorial High School in 2017; and
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only
intellect and aptitude but also four years of dedication to the
highest academic standards; Ms. Surani has demonstrated a thorough
understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her attainment of
this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement of a notable
high school career; and
WHEREAS, The daughter of Salim and Zehra Surani, Ms. Surani
plans to continue her education at Tufts University, studying
cognitive and brain sciences and political science; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Saherish Surani has
earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and classmates,
and her exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and commitment
to excellence have opened the way to limitless opportunities for
this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Saherish Surani, valedictorian of
the Class of 2017 at Veterans Memorial High School, and extend to
her sincere best wishes for continued success as she begins the next
exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Surani as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
